Capital Golden Eagles (Boise, ID) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Fruitland Grizzlies (Fruitland, ID), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Eagles (10-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Skyline (Idaho Falls, ID). The Grizzlies come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Skyline was beaten by Shelley (Shelley, ID), 3-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Grizzlies face the Pocatello Thunder (Pocatello, ID) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 19. Fruitland will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Thunder go into the test with a 11-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Rigby (Rigby, ID).
