In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Community Christian Warriors.

The Maroons (8-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Fighting Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Breckinridge County edged Cloverport (Cloverport, KY), 3-0, in a league outing.

With the loss, Community Christian drops to 3-12 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Bullitt Central (Shepherdsville, KY) to play the Cougars in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 20. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 3-9. Bullitt Central lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Eastern (Louisville, KY)
