Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the New West Charter Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Discovery Warriors (Sylmar, CA), observed New West Charter's volleyball squad notch a victory over Discovery by a score of 3-1.

With the win, New West Charter improves its record to 11-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Larchmont Charter (West Hollywood, CA) to encounter the Timberwolves in a Crosstown battle on Monday, September 22. The Timberwolves go into the battle with a record of 17-5. Larchmont Charter lost 1-0 in their recent non-league battle against Grant (Van Nuys, CA)

The Warriors now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys for a Central Valley battle on Monday, September 22. Discovery will meet a Mustang team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lake Balboa College Prep (Lake Balboa, CA). The Mustang record now stands at 4-3.
