Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Logan County Cougars (Russellville, KY) and the visiting Hopkinsville Tigers (Hopkinsville, KY), observed Logan County's volleyball team top Hopkinsville by a count of 2-0.

The Cougars (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Marshall County (Benton, KY). The Marshals go into the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Marshall County achieved victory over Calloway County (Murray, KY), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Tigers now own a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University Heights for a District 8 battle on Saturday, September 20. Hopkinsville will encounter a Blazers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Hopkinsville (Hopkinsville, KY). The Blazers record now stands at 9-8.
