The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Summit Academy Bears (Bluffdale, UT) and the host Manila Mustangs (Manila, UT), saw Summit Academy's volleyball squad nudge Manila by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Summit Academy improves its record to 3-12 on the season. The Bears host Wells (Wells, NV) to encounter the Leopards in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Leopards go into the battle with a record of 3-10. Wells lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Owyhee (Owyhee, NV)

The Mustangs now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maeser Prep Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 20. Manila will meet a Lions team coming off a 3-1 league win over Intermountain Christian (Salt Lake City, UT). The Lions record now stands at 9-3.
