Illinois High School Football - Reed-Custer overwhelms Arcola

September 2, 2022: Arcola, IL 61910

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) and the host Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL), observed Reed-Custer's football squad bounce Arcola by a count of 66-7.

The Comets now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lisle for a Illinois Central Eight outing on Friday, September 9. Reed-Custer will confront a Lions team coming off a 29-0 league loss to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Arcola moves to 0-2 on the season. The Purple riders host Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to confront the Bombers in a Lincoln Prairie outing on Friday, September 9. The Bombers go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Argenta-Oreana lost 48-0 in their recent non-league outing against Clinton (Clinton, IL)
