The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Gilbert Christian Knights (Gilbert, AZ), observed Arizona Lutheran Academy's football squad edge Gilbert Christian by a count of 40-34.

The Coyotes now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Alhambra for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 10. Arizona Lutheran Academy will play a Lions squad coming off a 46-6 non-league loss to Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Knights play the Phoenix Christian Cougars (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 8. Gilbert Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
