The Avon Lake Shoremen football squad scored 38 points and restricted the visiting St. John the Baptist Cougars to 7 in the Shoremen non-league victory on Friday.

The Shoremen now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avon for a Southwestern battle on Friday, September 9. Avon Lake will play a Eagles squad coming off a 27-21 non-league loss to Glenville (Cleveland, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
