The Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) football edged the visiting Boonton Bombers (Boonton, NJ), 28-27 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Golden Panthers face the Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 9. Pequannock will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 47-14 league win over Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ).

The Bombers (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Kinnelon (Kinnelon, NJ). The Colts enter the North Jersey Super - National Blue bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Kinnelon nudged Mahwah (Mahwah, NJ), 19-12, in a non-league bout.
