The Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) football routed the visiting Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV), 48-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Redskins face the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State bout, on Friday, September 9. Hurricane will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Blazer (Ashland, KY).
