In Friday's non-league game, the Casey County Rebels (Liberty, KY) football team smashed the visiting Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY), by a score of 44-12.
The Rebels (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers come into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Russell County was ripped by Barren County (Glasgow, KY), 41-0, in a non-league game.
The Hawks now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rockcastle County for a 3A District 5 game on Friday, September 9. Larue County will meet a Rockets team coming off a 28-0 non-league loss to Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Rockets record now stands at 2-1.
