The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) and the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), observed Gallia Academy's football squad edge Point Pleasant by a count of 22-21.

The Blue Devils now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Chesapeake for a Ohio Valley contest on Friday, September 9. Gallia Academy will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 42-6 non-league win over Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Big Blacks encounter the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 9. Point Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
