The Silver Creek/Forestville Central Black Knights football team (Silver Creek, NY), was knocked off 24-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Gowanda/Pine Valley Central Panthers (Gowanda, NY)

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cattaraugus-Little Valley (Cattaraugus, NY). The Timberwolves come into the Section 6 D challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Cattaraugus-Little Valley was knocked off by Frewsburg (Frewsburg, NY), 53-0, in a league challenge.

The Black Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton for a Section 6 C - South challenge on Friday, September 9. Silver Creek/Forestville Central will meet a Thunderbirds team coming off a 28-22 non-league win over Kennedy (Cheektowaga, NY). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-0.
