Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the host Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA), 45-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hazleton Area improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host North Pocono (Covington Township, PA) to battle the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, September 9. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 2-0. North Pocono won 28-27 in their recent non-league test against Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA)

With the loss, Wallenpaupack Area drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Buckhorns travel to Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA) to battle the in a non-league test on Friday, September 9. The come into the test with a record of 1-1. Wilkes-Barre won 21-14 in their recent non-league test against Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA)
