In Friday's league game, the Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN) football team knocked off the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN), by a final score of 35-14.
The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Pounders come into the 4A Region 3 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Chattanooga Central toppled Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN), 26-6, in a league game.
The Chiefs now hold a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Hamilton for a 4A Region 3 game on Friday, September 9. Sequoyah will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 38-0 league win over East Ridge (Chattanooga, TN). The Hurricanes record now stands at 2-1.
