The Horseshoe Bend Generals football team (New Site, AL), was ripped 39-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Lanett Panthers (Lanett, AL)

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Highland Home (Highland Home, AL). The Flying Squadron come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Highland Home trounced Goshen (Goshen, AL), 42-14, in a league challenge.

The Generals now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Luverne for a 2A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 9. Horseshoe Bend will meet a Tigers team coming off a 75-0 league win over Barbour County (Clayton, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
