The James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) football edged the visiting Pendleton County Wildcat (Franklin, WV), 6-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Mavericks face the Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV) in a Coalfield A bout, on Friday, September 16. James Monroe will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record.
