The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), observed Providence Grove's football squad bounce Jordan-Matthews by a count of 51-0.

The Patriots now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Asheboro for a non-league contest on Friday, September 9. Providence Grove will encounter a Blue Comets squad coming off a 69-7 non-league loss to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Blue Comets record now stands at 0-2.

Coming up next, the Jets encounter the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 9. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 42-13 non-league loss to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC).
