    • Arizona High School Football - Mater Dei Catholic drops to Red Mountain

    September 2, 2022: Mesa, AZ 85207

    In Friday's non-league game, the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) football team knocked off the visiting Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA), by a final score of 35-16.

    The Mountain Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their game against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, O'Connor toppled Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 24-10, in a non-league game.

    The Crusaders now hold a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league game on Saturday, September 10. Mater Dei Catholic will battle a Hornets team coming off a 27-24 non-league win over St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.
