Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Morton Panthers (Morton, MS), 34-21 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Taylorsville improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tartars travel to Raleigh (Raleigh, MS) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Friday, September 9. The Lions come into the test with a record of 2-0. Raleigh won 46-21 in their recent non-league test against Newton County (Decatur, MS)

With the loss, Morton drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Pearl (Pearl, MS) to battle the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, September 9. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 1-1. Pearl lost 39-14 in their recent non-league test against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)
