Alabama High School Football - Pickens County prevails Sumiton Christian

September 2, 2022: Sumiton, AL 35148

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL) and the host Sumiton Christian Eagles (Sumiton, AL), witnessed Pickens County's football squad notch a victory over Sumiton Christian by a margin of 38-7.

In their next game, the Tornadoes clash with the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) in a 1A Region 5 match, on Friday, September 9. Pickens County will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 33-8 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL).

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Lynn (Lynn, AL). The Bears enter the 1A Region 5 match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Lynn was toppled by Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL), 64-26, in a non-league match.
