The Sandy Creek Cougars football team (Fairfield, NE), was ripped 81-48 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE)

The Chargers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Central (Bassett, NE). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, North Central was ripped by Arcadia/Loup City (Arcadia, NE), 46-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Exeter-Milligan/Friend for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 9. Sandy Creek will meet a team coming off a 72-24 non-league win over McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE). The record now stands at 1-1.
