In Friday's non-league battle, the host Martinsville Artesians soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Merrillville Pirates.
The Artesians (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Hawks go into the Mid-State battle with a 4-3 record.
The Pirates (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Chesterton (Chesterton, IN). The Trojans go into the Duneland battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Chesterton nipped Munster (Munster, IN), 4-2, in a non-league battle.
