In Saturday's non-league game, the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) football team smashed the visiting Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), by a score of 59-15.

The Padres (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA). The Pirates come into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Stevenson was ripped by St. Francis (Watsonville, CA), 14-6, in a non-league game.
