The Kiowa Indians football team (Kiowa, CO), was tipped 26-20 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO)

The Thunderbirds (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Branson/Kim (Branson, CO). The Bearcats come into the A-6 Southwest (6 Man) challenge with a 1-1 record.

The Indians now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kit Carson for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Kiowa will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 66-29 non-league loss to Genoa-Hugo (Hugo, CO). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
