Illinois High School Football - Newman Central Catholic gets by Sherrard

The Newman Central Catholic Comets football squad scored 16 points and restricted the visiting Sherrard Tigers to 10 in the Comets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Comets now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Princeton for a Three Rivers - Mississippi battle on Friday, September 8. Newman Central Catholic will play a Tigers squad coming off a 22-21 non-league loss to Morrison (Morrison, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.
