In Saturday's non-league battle, the host University Hawks soccer squad scored a close 5-4 triumph over the Musselman Applemen.
The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
The Applemen (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cougars come into the battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Jefferson was nudged by Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
