Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 5. Stevenson will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Corsairs enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL).

The Caravan now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Aurora Central Catholic for a Chicago Catholic challenge on Tuesday, September 5. Chicago Mt. Carmel will confront a Chargers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 5-2.
