In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Durango Demons soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Mead Mavericks.
The Demons (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO). The Tigers come into the 4A Southwestern battle with a 2-1 record.
The Mavericks (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Severance (Severance, CO). The Silver Knights come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Severance was nudged by Timnath (Timnath, CO), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
