The Spearfish Spartans held off the visiting Riggs Governors soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's league match.
The Spartans now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Belle Fourche for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 5. Spearfish will encounter a Broncs squad coming off a 8-4 league win over James Valley Christian (Huron, SD). The Broncs record now stands at 3-2.
