With the triumph, Kearney improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Bearcats host Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE) to clash with the Spartans in a A District game on Tuesday, September 5. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 9-2. Lincoln East won 12-3 in their recent league game against Fremont (Fremont, NE)

In their next game, the Thunderbirds clash with the Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) in a A District game, on Tuesday, September 5. Bellevue West will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Storm come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 14-1 non-league win over Grand Island (Grand Island, NE).
