The Montgomery County Wildcats (Montgomery City, MO) softball the host Brookfield Bulldogs (Brookfield, MO), 7-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats (4-0) will now prepare for their bout against Mark Twain (Center, MO). The Tigers go into the Eastern Missouri bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Mark Twain by Palmyra (Palmyra, MO), 15-7, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Highland for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. Brookfield will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 14-13 non-league loss to Centralia (Centralia, MO). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.
