The Falcons now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carthage for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 2. Staley will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Webb City (Webb City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Monett falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cubs host Aurora (Aurora, MO) to battle the Houn Dawgs in a Class 3 District 12 challenge on Tuesday, September 5. The Houn Dawgs enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Aurora lost 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Logan-Rogersville (Rogersville, MO)
