The Argonaut Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Mesa Verde Mavericks to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now have a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Natomas for a non-league game on Saturday, September 2. Argonaut will confront a Nighthawks team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Westlake Charter (Sacramento, CA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-4.
The Mavericks (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Knights enter the Golden Empire League game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Rio Linda dropped by Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA), 3-1, in a league game.
