In Saturday's non-league contest, the Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA) volleyball squad knocked off the host Pilibos Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Lancers battle the NOVA Academy Eagles (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 2. Avalon will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record.

With the loss, Pilibos drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to de Toledo (West Hills, CA) to battle the Jaguars in a Liberty contest on Tuesday, September 5. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 4-2. de Toledo won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Lighthouse Christian (Santa Monica, CA)
