In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Rodriguez Mustangs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Colfax Falcons.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Fairfield (Fairfield, CA). The Falcons come into the Monticello Empire League battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Fairfield lost by San Marin (Novato, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Falcons clash with the Center Cougars (Antelope, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League battle, on Tuesday, September 5. Colfax will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA).
