The Columbus Sailors volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks to 0 in the Sailors non-league victory on Saturday.

The Sailors now have a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beckman for a non-league game on Saturday, September 2. Columbus will meet a Trailblazers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Camanche (Camanche, IA). The Trailblazers record now stands at 3-2.

The Go-Hawks (3-8) will now prepare for their game against Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Davis County gained a win over Chariton (Chariton, IA), 3-1, in a league game.
