Ohio High School Volleyball - Crooksville edged by Newcomerstown

The Newcomerstown Trojans held off the host Crooksville Ceramics volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Trojans now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Malvern for a Inter-Valley test on Tuesday, September 5. Newcomerstown will confront a Hornets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Strasburg-Franklin (Strasburg, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 1-6.

The Ceramics (1-7) will now prepare for their test against West Muskingum (Zanesville, OH). The Tornadoes enter the Muskingum Valley test with a 0-9 record. In their last test, West Muskingum was nudged by Coshocton (Coshocton, OH), 3-0, in a league test.
