California High School Volleyball - El Modena can't hold off Laguna Beach

September 2, 2023: Laguna Beach, CA 92651

In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Laguna Beach Breakers volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the El Modena Vanguards.

The Breakers (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA). The Tartans come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, St. Margaret's nudged Costa Mesa (Costa Mesa, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Vanguards clash with the Woodbridge Warriors (Irvine, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 2. El Modena will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA).
