The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Harbor Pirates (Santa Cruz, CA) and the host San Mateo Bearcats (San Mateo, CA), saw Harbor's volleyball squad nip San Mateo by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Harbor upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Mills (Millbrae, CA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 2. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Mills lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Mercy (Burlingame, CA)

The Bearcats now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hillsdale for a Peninsula - Bay bout on Thursday, September 7.
