The Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team (Spring Valley, CA), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting The Cambridge School Griffins (San Diego, CA)

The Griffins (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountain Empire (Pine Valley, CA). The Redhawks enter the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Mountain Empire was dropped by Escondido (Escondido, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Monarchs encounter the Liberty Charter Lions (Lemon Grove, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 2. Monte Vista will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Imperial (Imperial, CA).
