The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) and the visiting Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR), saw Wallowa's volleyball squad beat Nixyaawii Community by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Wallowa upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Cougars host Imbler (Imbler, OR) to play the Panthers in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Thursday, September 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Imbler won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Central Christian (Redmond, OR)

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Griswold for a 1A Old Oregon bout on Tuesday, September 5. Nixyaawii Community will play a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR). The Grizzlies record now stands at 2-1.
