The Portola Bulldogs volleyball team (Irvine, CA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Pacifica Christian/Orange County Tritons (Newport Beach, CA)

The Tritons (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against The Webb Schools (Claremont, CA). The Gauls come into the San Joaquin challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, The Webb Schools was edged by Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Calvary Chapel Eagles (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 2. Portola will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Orange (Orange, CA).
