With the win, Valley Christian improves its record to 1-0 on the season.

The Lancers now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Schurr for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 4. La Serna will meet a Spartans team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Monrovia (Monrovia, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.
