The Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) ice hockey trounced the host North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA), 11-2 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Lebanon for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Hempfield Area will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-0.

The Trojans (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Mt. Lebanon achieved victory over Neshannock (New Castle, PA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
