West Virginia High School Volleyball - Independence over Nicholas County

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) and the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), observed Independence's volleyball team top Nicholas County by a tally of 2-0.

The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record.

In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 4. Nicholas County will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
