The Masuk Panthers soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Ansonia Chargers to 2 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now hold a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethel for a Southwest - Colonial game on Thursday, September 4. Masuk will face a Wildcats team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Danbury (Danbury, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
The Chargers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders enter the Naugatuck Valley game with a 0-1 record.
