In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Kearny Kardinals soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Toms River North Mariners.
The Kardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against The Pilgrim Academy (Egg Harbor City, NJ). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, The Pilgrim Academy edged Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Mariners now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Brick Memorial for a Shore A - South test on Friday, September 5. Toms River North will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.
