Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), saw Owen's soccer squad knock off Smoky Mountain by a count of 5-2.
The Warhorses (2-1) will now prepare for their match against McDowell (Marion, NC). The Titans come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, McDowell nipped Chase (Forest City, NC), 2-0, in a non-league match.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Polk County for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. Smoky Mountain will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 0-0 non-league North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-0.
