Elkhorn North Wolves (Elkhorn, NE) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the visiting Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE), 10-2 in a non-league match.

The Wolves (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Hastings (Hastings, NE). The Tigers go into the B District 8 match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Hastings gained a win over York (York, NE), 13-4, in a league match.

In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) in a A District game, on Monday, September 8. Pius X will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
